Injen Long Tube Intakes
I got these installed today after getting them back from powder coating today...I absolutely love the look of the "wrinkle black".
As far as quality, these Injens are superior to my old Stillen's. The piping seems to be nicer and the fit is perfect. I had to zip tie my Stillen intakes to keep them from rattling. Don't get me wrong, I really was impressed with both intakes, and both make about the same power. The major thing that I love about Injens are that they actually fit with no issues, no rattling, very sturdy for long tubes, and look great! The pipe size on the Injen intakes are just a little bit larger than Stillen, which is a nice touch as well. Again, I felt no difference power wise between the Injens and the Stillens, so its really a win win with both intakes. Lets all remember, these are just pipes with filters LOL...but I am a bit overboard when it comes to my cars and I want everything to be perfect.
All in all, after owning both intakes, Injen would be my choice due to quality and looks. Please don't think I am bashing Stillen though, because their intakes are very nice as well, and both make very impressive power for intakes.
Enough of my over thinking jibber jabber...On to the pics:

Well done, intakes came out GREAT! Very smart choice going with the Hydroshields
EDIT: Good call leaving the bumper cover clips out that sit right above the L-tube, I did the same thing!

Thanks! And yea I always have the toe hook on the car, never know when you may need it haha, plus its not really visible so its not too ricey!
And yea the only gripe I have on the Injens was fitting the bumper clip through the bumper with the huge L-tube underneath, but I ended up using what any wise z owner would use; a zip tie...
Thanks man, that was my goal, that and for it to look MEAN!
Thankya

I didn't even notice the Zip ties till you mentioned it. I managed to fit my bumper clips. The passenger side one sometimes like to pop out but since the last time I installed it, the clip has stayed in INJENS ftw!
Where did you get the hyrdoshields from? My fear has always been hydro-lock, but somehow in the worst storms the V3 bumper seems to protect & prevent water ingestion. Every time I return from L.I. I get caught in some ridiculous storm.
The amsoil/k&N filters are sheltered behind the V3 bumper nicely and also have a steep downward pitch/angle.

Thats cool that they sent the covers with the intakes. Must be Injen decided to add those recently to their kit.
Covers are great! I use them with my K&N's on my jet skis in surf, great lakes and freestyle riding. Defin eliminates bog/hesitation.
Whats next on your mod list?

There is a harness bar for sale in the private classifieds, check it out. I to would like to get some seats at some point to. I have a hard time fitting with my helmet.
Screw Audio! lol Waste of money & usually adds weight. I am a performance guru. I would like a touch screen with Nav! But thats it. No subs/amps
It would be nice to drop some weight, but I can't bring myself to gut the car.
Man am I missing my car, Its been in the shop since the 1st.

Yea man, I'd feel safer if I had a roll bar that away if I were to ever flip my car, I would be completely safe. Harnesses keep your head straight, so if you ever flipped and your car and didnt have a roll bar, well...you'd probably snap your neck.
As far as the audio, all I was meaning was some nice speakers, an amp, and a nice headunit, trust me I'm with you on the weight thing!

One thing I haven't done since owning the car is to really clean/polish the exhaust. I never really like the tips on my exhaust but after about 2 hours of cleaning/polishing the exhaust and tips, I've fallen in love with it again!
Anyways, here's a"before" picture, it was sooooo dirty (This is just a pic of the tip, the exhaust was already cleaned at this point):
And about 30 min later:
And about 1 hour 45 min later:
Very happy with the results! (Sorry for the iphone pics...)

^^^^ WOW! Massive improvement! Looks great.
I didn't know you track you Niz? I have only lost control of my car once. Due to wet track conditions. I can't imagine ever rolling it. Do you drift it? Then maybe, I'm sure you saw that vid of the redline rolling at a drift event. F'in scary.

^^^Yea, I do when I can...this year I haven't gotten to track as much as I'd like due to working so much...FML
But yea I do track the z when I get the chance...I mostly do autox but I get to a few road events every summer. The thing is I also drive my z for fun when I can and if I have harnesses, I want a roll bar to support me IF the car ever flipped which chances are will never happen. I don't wanna take that chance of flipping and the harnesses causing my head/neck to stay straight when the roof is caving in on me. A seat belt is made to where if you flip the car, your body can fall to the side and not get crushed by the roof. With harnesses, it keeps your body straight with minimal movement, which is why a roll bar is needed AT LEAST.

Haha, that was really dirty. New photo shoot?
And is that pool cleaning tools? Sheesh, I wish I had a pool. Beaches on my side of the island suck. It's still developing and probably gonna take another 100,000 years for sand to really appear.
