ZDAYZ 2012

Well boys, the time has come! Here are some pics I took while at ZDAYZ this year. I didn't have much time to take pics, so I don't have as many as last year. I had a rough time up till ZDAYZ this year though. My alternator crapped out on me this past Wednesday (2 days before ZDAYZ), so I (very luckily) found one locally from a G35 HR for $75 and swapped it out Thursday after work. Friday, I left work early, got my z re-aligned, and left for the 5 hour drive to The Dragon/Fontana Resort (location of ZDAYZ if you didn't know). Luckily, I had no problems. I usually don't have any problems with my z, so my z's alternator failing on me was a weird feeling.

Anyways, the event was so awesome! Had moonshine for the first time (bad idea), drove the dragon over and over, and its always good to see old friends/meet new friends. My new tires (RE11's) LOVED the turns and I can honestly say I will never buy another tire for my z. I am extremely impressed with how these handled. They didn't even make noise while taking the turns at 70+ mph!

For those who have never been to ZDAYZ, do yourself a favor and go. Its the best Z event hands down! There's nothing like driving on the Tail of the Dragon with all Z's, G's, and GTR's!

I just got done reading through this thread. AWESOME Z! I really like the fast intentions exhaust as well.

I couldn't help but notice this car in the Zdays pics from the Dragon. Can somebody ID this lip and wheels for me please?
Answered my own question about the splitter.. Apparently it's made by stillen.

Yeah man, the z has been in hibernation recently. I'm gonna claybar/wax it this christmas break, hopefully get some good pics. Hopefully this spring, I'll be getting some new gears, and perhaps some interior goodies.

 

Oh I thought you might have sold the Z, glad to see you didn't!

wow i drove a stock 350z nismo a couple months ago and i was really impressed. so if i bought one is because of this guy right there and many of you who mods their cars. thank you so much guys

Just make sure your situation allows it i.e. job/roads/state/lifestyle allows a two door entry sports car to co exist!

Can't wait Brandon to see what you continue to do! Those thoughts of getting an Subaru well be a faint memory when you turn her on...

I started reading through this thread Friday afternoon and just finished today. ..damn...

That's a whole bunch of awesome work you've done. Just FYI for everyone, I might be the buyer.

I had an 06 350z in college and when I moved up here with the air force. unfortunately I traded it in for an '11 STI thinking that was a better move than keeping the z and having a second winter driver. It was honestly a terrible mistake as I never really stopped missing my Z. Now being married I have even less of a reason to get back into one, however my wife even said I should go for it and that in the event of children, we can always just take her car. I got so tired of the STI that I traded it in last summer for a GTI. The GTI is a great car but it's no sports car. I'd be selling however and getting just a couple k beater for the winter.
