I have been trying to get a price for a replacement muffler for our cars. I've searched on the site didn't find, so called local Nissan dealer.
Muffler part# b0100-1a33b cost $1138, even the parts guy couldn't believe what they wanted for the muffler, but they would give me a 10% discount....
Thats the price you pay to have a limited production car!
Last time I looked, Nismo s tune is going for $1300...
I'm keeping mine.....

They aren't cheap!... I still have my original exhaust in storage. It's hard to part with. You just never know when you may need it. I have seen them go up for sale in the market place every now and then.

This is the point i'm trying to get out... Keep your parts in 10 years the only route will be aftermarket parts. By law auto companies have to make parts available for 10 years after they discontinue production. Nissan won't be able to make the specific parts for our cars and make money, A muffler @ $900 just think what they'll want in 10 years for the same muffler.
I agree, depending on the part the mark up is 30%-100%. Courtesy Nissan called me back this morning with the same price. If I ever need a part I will call them.

Im aware of that, but OP states he wanted a replacement muffler, hence meaning stock, unless that isn't what he meant, and the part number he displayed in OP is of an OEM Nismo 350z Muffler.

Correct me if i'm wrong Kingbaby.
Sorry about that, those are the pics I had from about 3 months ago when I was trying to sell the whole system, but only sold the mid pipe and the y pipe. I then just decided to use my tips for my current exhaust, and have put the muffler away in storage in a box in my garage. If you want, I have no problem taking more pics this evening for you all to see; the tips were cut right at the very back of where the tip meets the pipe, if thats the best way I can describe it, so it was done very clean. Again, once I get home I will take more pics of how it looks now, which is basically exactly the same new-ness, and cleanliness.
Oh I understand its worth more, however I don't ever plan on selling my car. It is currently paid off (woo hoo!) and have so much planned for it in the near future, and it only has 14k miles on it--so I just dont have much use for the OEM parts, which is very little cause I have sold them on here, ebay, to buddies, etc. My loss is others gains!
