Sounds like something slipped by the carfax.

I will say this, Nissan's paint process is lacking something with these cars. The OEM paint chips very easily.. I didn't even have 3kmi on my car and I had chips in the hood, front bumper & fenders.

I invested $6000 and had the car done right!!! I am very **** about my Nismo and it shows! If I do sell it, someone will get a mighty fine car. It's a garage queen.

I used to work at a dealership and it was always the same way. We had vipers, corvettes and a supercharged mustang. I used to go for drives with the owners son and he would beat the living **** out of the cars. I was 17 so I thought it was awesome.

I've noticed car salesman are getting much worse with knowledge. I was at the nissan dealer in Brockton and I asked if they had gotten any Nismo 370Z's and the salesman answered "I don't think so, is that one over there by the street?" Of course the one by the street was a regular 370.

As for the damage there won't be any carfax if someone didn't want their insurance to go up, hence the crappy bodywork. Usually goes along with drunk driving. Probably paid out of pocket to fix it.

Are you financing or buying outright? if you don't mind me asking. I am always looking at cars for sale and can let you know if I come across anything locally.

There is NO way it was OEM paint.....tape lines everywhere. Open the doors, look for the soft edge and overspray...then to the trunk, where I can see the tape line/overspray...rear bumper wasn't masked very well either.

I am looking to finance whatever I buy. I have good credit and don't have a problem getting approved. Who knows, I may just hold out through the winter (again). I've already got 2 vehicles, I'm not desperate to buy. I will wait to the right car at the right price comes along. There's still other options I'll look at. Ideally I'll stay at/under $25k. I may wait until spring and use my tax return as a down payment.

I think I may continue looking at other vehicles...would love to test a Z4 coupe, new body TT, srt magnum, possibly a new body mustang. Like I said, I'm open to anything and don't mind waiting to find the right car for me. If I wait till spring, I may just have to pursue finding a Lotus. I waffle a lot on what I want!

Kinda funny. I have a Pikes Peak White Nismo. Good luck on the continued search.

The paint really does suck on these cars. I have 17k miles and the front needs a repaint.

Sounds good man...patience is key...many of the early Nismo owners should of waited a year!

Good luck with your search for a sportscar!
