lowering a Nismo makes such a big difference. nice setup.
It was weird at first. I'm guessing the spring rate on the nismo suspension is fairly high maybe even higher then the ISC street coilovers because it felt a little loose. But turned em up a few clicks and broke them in a little and now they feel great. It is very predictable with very little flexing on hard corners. I couldn't believe how much of a difference getting an alignment made.
i used to have the nismo suspension on my Z. very comfortable ride. did you make any camber/toe adjustments before your alignment?
I didn't but I was talking to the guy that did my alignment and he really knew his ****. I put adjustable camber arms in the rear. I don't know much about that stuff. I have started to read about it in the suspension thread but it kind of goes over my head on some of it.
yeah that's all i did with my setup. coils, camber and toe, swaybars. unless you're taking your car on a roadcourse or driving it frequently through the mountains, you don't really need to go too crazy with suspension mods.
Rides great. I like it to ride a little stiffer so having that adjustability makes it much better for me. I am supposed to be doing a full photoshoot this weekend so I will get some pics up as soon as I do.
Also going to Tail of the Dragon and Auto-x this month so they will be getting some use.
Here are a few pics I snapped yesterday with my phone.
