The more factory Nismo parts you remove/replace, the less factory "Nismo" it becomes, to me anyways. Whatever people say, it's your car and you're going to do what you want with it.

thats the joy of getting a non-nismo, to be able to freely mod without losing out.

Ya ok let's sell a good nismo and take a gamble on buying a used 350z that might have problems just cause you think a nismo should not lose it's nismo Kit. Rofl ... Then go out And do all the work nismo did like weld up body and put the other parts on.

It's honestly your car and if you can sell your Kit and go out and get another authentic jdm Kit then do it. If you wanna. You honestly won't have a hard time selling your Kit here if it's in good condition

You know, it's interesting how swappting the Nismo body kit is sooo taboo, yet things such as swapping wheels, suspension, and adding performance parts is generally accepted and even encouraged. Hell, we have sticky threads dedicated to pictures of Nismos with aftermarket wheels and exhausts - both unique parts of the Nismo that no other Z's have, yet we swap them with globally-available parts and typically recieve positive feedback. I, for one, would never swap the kit, but it's amusing to me how society determines what is socially acceptable and what is frowned upon.

true...the main reason behind that is that the only reason the nismo is a nismo is the bodykit..

The wheels are just a redesign of the track wheels.

The exhaust is the same as other models just bigger tips.

The suspension is just a stiffer spring.

Other than that it's a base model Z just as marketed!

Well dude no offense, but you asked for people's opinions and that is what you got. Everyone is different but when the majority of people think something is sacrilege to do, there will always be exceptions to those who don't. Kingbaby said it, besides the kit(main reason for having a nismo) almost every thing is the same as the other Z's. I couldn't not afford the nismo Z when it came out so I bought a base with the intentions of modding it. I have a body kit, but I could not source/afford the authentic nismo pieces or else I would have that on.
