Got a chance to zip up to the Nurburgring with the Nismo. I know the RE11's are a summer tire but I wasn't impressed with them today in 40 degree rainy weather. Whenever I would put some power down out of a corner the back would just skip out so those 70+ corners where a bit challenging. In hindsight I probably should've thrown the Continentals DWS back on and used those. Ah who knows maybe it was just my crappy driving skills. Regardless though, I got to drive the ring and eat a cheeseburger at the Devil's Diner!

Nope I just went out in one of the Tourist Rides Nordschleife days and had a go with plenty of other drivers, mostly driving smaller front wheel drive stuff.
It was my first time up there, although I only live about 1.5 hrs away so it's a pretty easy evening trip after work. Unfortunately I went by myself so I didn't take any pics on actual track and it was raining cats and dogs before and after so not a very good day for pics. I did take a quick snap of a focus rs that looks pretty sweet in lime green.
Once I go on a dry day I'm sure I'll have some better pics. BTW, they don't allow you to video your on track time so that won't be happening--it's better that way so you all can't see how poorly I drive

Nice color! How did the car feel going around the track? Btw, here's another Nismo running around.

Thanks about the color--I think if you polled folks the nogaro red is probably the least favorite but I like it so....
It was raining and really the tires weren't hooking up at all--kinda like accelerating on ice so I was just tip toeing around. Will see how the car and I go on a dry day.

Track is about an hour and a half from here but it's totally worth the trip
mine is US spec, originally sold at a dealership in Georgia. It is #1099 and I beleive the original owner now owns a 370Z. I beleive bena1916 has a US spec as well. We will be going to the ring tomorrow so I will be posting some pics of the twinZ once I get a chance.
Glad I found this thread, I am relocating to Germany (Thuringen area) in mid Aug. but my Z just got there today via container. I can drive her legally with my US plates for a few months until I have to register her there so if you guys make another trip I would like to join, I dont have a Nismo but it does have a original V3 front end
