Nice video--you are definitely faster than I am. How many times have you been able to get down there? I was up there last night for a few laps--first lap was a bit damp/wet but it dried out for the second and third.
I'll be there on Sunday for the first time in my US Spec G35. Hopefully the sun comes out. Being my first time, I'm just gonna put put around the track. Anything I should know before I make the trip?

Bring your car & a few Euro's and you'll have a good time. For the laps you can use an American Master Card or Visa so no need to bring hundreds of Euro's. The burgers at the Devil's Diner are ok. They also don't allow you to take video but you can set the mount up inside the car and just after you go through the entrance you'll be able to slap it up there and you'll be good to go.
Good luck.
Sounds like you have the right mindset--it's really easy to get in over your head up there and clip a barrier so take it at your own pace no matter what that VW Polo is doing (we saw an m3 in the guard rail last time I was there) behind you.

If it takes me 30 minutes to lap, oh well
. Anything elso to do around there? English speaking people around? Are they really that strict about taking video? Are there wait times? Sorry for all the questions. I'm driving all the way from Italy to drive the ring.

Honestly I just drive up there and back but I'm only 1.5 hrs away so I've never looked around much.
No problem for us ignorant Americans (assuming you are from the good old US of A) that can speak only one language (not accusing you of that BTW). All signage up there is in Deutsch and English so kein problem. All the staff speaks English for the most part.
Yes--they'll stop you as you approach the gate.
So I've never been on a weekend so it might be busier but here's my experience. As soon as they open the track the mob gets out there in the first 15 minutes--if you wait for that onslaught you'll find yourself not being passed so much. They cue the cars up and as quickly as you can drive up, scan your ring card, gate opens automatically and away you go. They typically have two lanes open to get through the gate. Long story short I've never waited very long. I'm told it's a bit crazier on the weekends and they will shut the ring down for serious accidents so you might consider getting out there pretty early to insure you get some track time just in case.
No worries--glad to help. Not sure if you've driven much on the autobahn but there's plenty of unrestricted zones between Italy and Nurburgring along the 5 and 61 so that might be almost as much fun. I'm sure you know this but Switzerland has one of those road tax thingies so make sure you get the vignette. http://www.tolltickets.com/country/s...spx?lang=en-GB

Thanks, it wasn't my fastest lap, but the fastest I recorded. It was my fourth trip to the ring. First time with my Federal RSR's, which works GREAT compared to normal road tires. I also upgraded my brakes and running a set of Tein Mono Flex
Really? They didn't stop me, as you can see on my video

Ah it must be hit or miss if they hassle you or not--no matter, I would like to see your G ripping around the ring, are you going to post them up on your youtube channel?
Well, I did 8 laps total. 4 familiarization runs and 4 fast runs. My GoPro battery only lasted until the end of my 4th familiarization run. Bummer.
I will post a video of me around the track, but there isn't much to see since I was going slow while my batteries had a charge. Wish I had video of my faster runs. I will say that e G did much better than expected. It just takes a lot of ***** to go around the track at speed paired with the right skill.
It was a very busy day on the day I went. Lots of fast exotics and motorcycles. I found myself constantly checking my rear view mirrors to make way for faster cars. Porsche's and M3's owned the track that day.
I will have a full review on my thread on driver along with pics and video. I'd hate to take over the thread. http://g35driver.com/forums/travel/4...dventures.html
One thing is for sure. I will make it a yearly trip. Way too much fun not to do this on a regular basis. Sure beats any track I've been on in the states. I would give my left nut to be stationed close to the 'ring.
