Default Nismo 2007 #0440

Hello all,

I had a 2006 touring Z for 5 years. Last week it was totalled due to a 18 wheeler hitting my car from behind. So I am back on the market to find another Z. I saw the Nismo #0440 on CarMax listed for 16999. It has 104k miles. From the pictures it looks really clean. Is that a good price? I've searched to see if there are any issues with the 07 Zs. I only found a thread about the clutch slave recall. This Z vin does not fall in that so I think I should be good. Is there anything else I should look out for before I go test drive and possibly buy this car? It's currently being transferred to the nearest carmax near me.

Thank you so much for your help. Hopefully this Z was kept in good condition.

Fyi my touring Z was a automatic so I don't know how the clutch should feel like when I test drive it.

Yeah I was thinking it might be to many miles. I never had any problems with my 2006 automatic Z so I was hoping this one would be a good buy.

but if you maintain her good, won't be any problem because the HR can go over 200 000 miles, i think that price is fair for a nismo with that many miles. still a beautiful car. and the rest 3 are rip off lol.

A few years ago I would say yes to buying a Carmax car. But now, I dunno if I would, especially a performance car. I would certainly go there to test drive everything under the sun though. IMO and YMMV.

true that, there was one at my nissan stealership in my town had 55k miles and sold for 20k, i was too late to get it.... now ppl only sell nismo to carmax i guess and they put it up for a neck cutting price without haggling, killing nismo enthusiast.

I saw a bunch of Nismos on the west coast but I couldn't find any around the MD/VA/DC area. The thing that got me excited is that Car Max would do a free transfer to my area. All of the Nismos I saw at cars.com are atleast 500 miles away from where I live.

UPDATE: I ended up not getting the Nismo and bought myself a Range Rover Evoque. Even though I love the Z I think its time to get a car with awd for my daily. I will probably get another Z next year but, that will be my weekend car.

PICS before and after the accident:

Thanks! The dealer still owe me the black roof and 20inch rims. Something about it though that doesn't get me excited like how my Z use to do it for me.

That's because it's not a sports car. Nice looking whip but you'll be back in a car soon enough.

Very Nice! My friend did that. He went from Z to Evoque. Both of your cars are hot. There's a courtesy light that projects the Evoque image onto the ground.
