2008 Nismo Dyno
I managed to snag a spot in a local VW clubs dyno day last weekend. Needless to say, the VW guys would have probably been happier with their numbers if I wasn't there.
The only non-stock parts on the car are the nismo intakes which were put on by the dealer before I bought the car.
All 3 runs were done in 4th gear. The event was held at ET tuning in Union, Mo on a dyno jet.

This was my first time to ET tuning and I liked the staff and facilities. I'll be doing minor bolt ons and a tune in May so I'll let you know how it goes.
I have a few friends in the area who've already dyno'd in 4th so I stuck with 4th for a good comparison. I'll be back there sometime in May. I'll do a 4th gear pull and 5th gear pull so we can see the difference.

Thanks OP for posting the dyno.

How much do the numbers differ from running it in 1:1 vs not? I thought the dyno settings were able to compensate for non-1:1 ratios? Just curious. My hp was 272 with a 3rd gear run.

From what my tuner tells me, the dynos like to see a 1:1 gear for the most accurate numbers. For example, I changed my final drive to a 3.92 kit and I no longer have a true 1:1 gear so my numbers aren't 100% accurate. I made 303/272 with the stock final drive in the 1:1 gear, and with the 3.92 final drive I made 284/263.
He was telling me some cars don't even have 1:1 gears though (I think he mentioned the s2000 possibly?)

Thats what I don't get. I have 4.08 gears and it didn't mess my numbers up at all. Maybe it's only certain dyno machines I guess
