Question Replace mid pipe, fix it or aftermarket?

I just came back from my dealer. My exhaust rattled loud so I figured there is something wrong. The connection between the mid pipe and the muffler is completely rotten. The question is now do I spend $700+ to have them replace the mid pipe or is this the time to think about aftermarket? My car is completely stock right now. #337. The only reason to go aftermarket would be to gain power or to loose weight. Or should I go to a muffler shop and have them weld a new flange to my mid pipe? Last option seems wrong to me.
Any good suggestions?

Thank you all in advance.

My opinion... Don't let the dealership replace anything. They will rape you with prices. Cheapest option is going to exhaust shop and having them fix your flanges (probably $100). Or if you want aftermarket now is a good time to get it. That's what I personally recommend

Go aftermarket. Get a full exhaust system and TT while you're at it

What year is your car? Is it the y pipe? You can find cheap OEM exhaust parts on the marketplace here on this forum. I will put my use exhaust parts up for sale pretty soon.

Agreed if anything confirm what part us dent/punctured and replace if with used OE parts...no need to repair with replacement parts are so cheap.

+1 on what the others said. This would be the time to upgrade if you wanted to. I have my stock y pipe still on the car that is pretty mint if you wanted it. I'm willing to sell it since I want to finish up my exhaust with the Tomei Y pipe. PM me if your interested.
