Default how do you avoid spraying in 1st with a WOT switch?

sorry if this is a newbie question, I've read about 2/3 of all the nitrous posts here so far

Just assuming the car can get traction under normal NA WOT in 1st gear, but you don't want it to spray in 1st cause that would break the tires loose - what do you do?

I know you can just not floor the pedal in 1st and wait until you're in 2ndto floor it, but is there another way to get your full NA power out of 1st without spraying??

You can get a NX Maximizer.
This unit allows you to program how much to spray in what gear. You can slowly increase the percentage per gear.
The other goodies included are: window switch, tps switch, gear based control, A/F safety cut off.
You can monitor and program it via a Palm Pilot

Default Only NX?

Tomcat - Does the Maximizer only work with NX kits or will it interface with ZEX, Edelbrock, etc?

I wired a push button to my throttle position sensor that turns off power when held down.I mounted the buttonon my foot rest.(I have an auto)
the nitrous kicks in when I let off the button, then the WOT sensor and window switch do the rest.

I believe it works on any kit, NOS has one similar as well. I'm just a NX fan, it's been good to me

Default Maximizer

Tomcat - I just spoke with Jon @ NX & he said the Maximizer would work with any nitrous kit. That's all I needed to hear so mine's on order right now!!

I looked at the maximizer at a few different places and they all wanted at least $500! That's a waste of money if you ask me.
my switch costed $9 & the wires were less than $10
I guess you can take your left hand off the wheel,or your right hand off your shifter to flip the power in the middle of a run. That just doesn't sound safe to me,but I guess you manual guys have no choice

If you buy the components that are build in seperately it goes like that:
window switch: $130
TPS Switch: $100
A/F Safety: $300

Gear Sensor controller...well, there's none seperate
Programmable shot precentage...again not there seperate
Palm Interface...none available

so that makes it beyond worthwhile

In addition, I for once want to spray in 1st, just not the full shot so the fact that you can gradually increase is the trick here, it allows for better control and traction and safety which is something that your $20 switch and manually switching can not accomplish.

I don't know you but I have to tell you that when I'm at the track there's enough to focus on. Having to turn on another switch after shifting is not something I want to do.
