Default NX location for low profile

I just signed for a '05 enthusiast and will be picking it up this coming weekend!!! I already have a NX wet kit from an old project and am thinking about hooking it up...I haven't seen too many descriptions of ppl's set-up (location of components) and am looking to keep a low profile. (I'm thinking of installing the 10lb tank where the spare tire is-I'll probably only run N20 during track times).

What are things I should know before starting?
*I'm not looking to modify too much, and will probably run a 50 shot at most.
this is what the NX kit has: fuel/N20 solenoids, purge valve, 'arming' switch, purge button, activation button, and all the lines and nozzle, N20 pressure gauage). I'm not planning on running the WOT (wide open throttle) switch...I know to be careful in not activating it until WOT and higher RPM's.

where are common locations for: solenoids, nozzle, activation switch and buttons?

Thanks!!!

Also, Is it okay to leave the timing stock...I have the bare bones NX wet kit: it just adds the fuel/N20 when I hit the button.

I'll plan on getting colder spark plugs-anything else?

go with 1 step colder plugs, non platinum too. NGK iridiums come to mind. All is else is fine.

Alot people mount the solenoids under the brake master cylinder. I have also seen them mounted to the back of the intake manifold , near the firewall.

It is really basic to install.

what's 'reflashing'...It sounds like getting the ECU modified, is that right? If so, I'd assume I have to find a shop to do it.

thanks!

How easy is it to mount some switches in the middle consol compartment (where the navigation system would go if I had one)?

I'm thinking to put the ON/OFF and purge switches there, and then to find a diffrent more accsible place for the 'GO' button.

also, where are ppl splicing in to get 12V power?

thanks!

well thats what i wanted but altered atmosphere said it was "impossible" because of the wires and intereference that goes on back there. Then again altered dosnt know what the hell they are talking about so who knows. go for it.

Find a car audio shop with an istaller who is knowledgable about wiring and relays. With some creativity, you can use existing switches and buttons to activate, purge, control your nitrous system.

Go james bond style. Here are some suggestions that I know work

Cigarette light = Arm Nitrous
Winshield Sprayer = Purge
Seat Heater = Bottle Heater

My suggestion is to use a single discreet aftermarket switch to toggle these factory buttons between their normal use and their Nitrous use.
