Default NOS installed

Ok the work is done. 85 shot of wet NOS and still counting! all I can say for now is, this is totally a different car with N2O. its really fun to spray.
after installing is complete I took a ride and man this is insane, the rpm jumps like rocket .

I've also installed Zex 2 step colder plugs.
Questions :
1. the car idles now at 1K, is this normal?
2. after like 7 runs with N2O I could definifly feel a heat inside the car, and I guess the car sounds slighty louder at idle, is it normal?
3. I sprayed at 1st and WTF it spins like hell, is it safe to spray at 1st gear?
4. I heard you shouldn't spray while your below 3K rpm, is this true?

Thats all for now, waiting for some experts to answer my Q's
I'll also have a full review with pics next weeks.

Thanks for the help.

always use a window switch to ensure you do not spray below 3000 and shut off 200 before you hit the limiter. And of course have a TPS switch which I believe is part of the Zex kit so you should be fine there.

I don't recall having a higher idle but that can be part of the colder plugs.
There's definetely more heat because you're working the engine much harder than normal. Take some breaks in between runs

It's safe to spray in 1st however I recommend a progressive controller like the maximizer to allow to ramp up slowly (lower shot in 1st)

get an nx maximizer. u can setup progressions for each gear, specify rpm windows, and it uses throttle position voltage (no microswitches).

Yes I'm on stock tires, a new set of wheels and tires should be here next week

Can someone tell me the difference between NOS progressive controller and nx maximizer?
I know they both allows you to start with a small shot of N2O (say 25 to 30% in 1st gear) to minimize wheel spin off the line; then smoothly transition to full power. Any other difference?

can I specify rpm windows on both of them? which one is recommended?

When I first started with my nitrous I too wanted to go with either the NOS progressive controller or NX Maximizer. I learned from another forum member who installed the Maximizer that it is useless from the roll. Go for it if you drag, but if this kit is just for street then dont bother.

Your idle should not be effected at all. MSD makes the window switch. Spraying a full shot before 3k is good way to blow your engine.
