Ok i FINALLY got my zex system working, but when im in 2nd gear at 4k rpms, and hit it, i still dont break the wheels loose which i should at an estimated 375 to the wheels.
Im goin to the track tonight to see if i get any gains in power at all with a supposed 125 shot.
In 3rd gear you cant even tell im spraying. and in 2nd you can tell slightly and in 1st all i do is spin.

 

you won't feel A 35 OR 50 SHOT AT ALL!!!

75 shot is okay, but not reall satisfying.

100 shot feels just right. It really kicks.

35 shot? 50 shot? why the hell would i use smaller jets than what comes with a kit?
i changed the jets to 125's.
later that night we figured out the zex box wasnt shooting any nitrous at all, but you probably knew that from reading my other post.

 

even with a 125 shot, i dont think you got 375,i bet 295-305rwhp

 

i dynoed in at nearly 260 with NA mods, and i very much doubt a 125 shot adds 30hp.... lol so you think i make 170hp to the wheels right now without nitrous? lol
Anyway, people with similiar setups are making 405 to the wheels with tq numbers above that.

 

What jet sizes are you using for a 125 shot?

 

hmm off the top of my head i think its .056 nitrous and .030 fuel.

 

Is that 125 whp shot? Those numbers are very similar to my 100 whp shot.

 

no, zex shots are to the fly. and im pretty sure NX is to the wheels.

NX jets are different from others.

MOst other companies' jets can be interchanged. I believe that there are difference with the NX jets.

The NX kit comes with all the jets from 35 to 150 whp!

The 35 jets are great for testing out the system to make sure things work. You wouldn't want to find out that there is a problem while testing out a 150 HP setup.

 

Damn, I didn't get all those jets! I only got 35, 50 & 75. I had to buy the 100 shot extra. It may be time for a little 125

 

NX kit only comes with 35, 50 and 75 anything else is extra

 

have you checked that the TPS is engaging?

Have you ensured that the bottle pressure is actually between 900 and 1050 psi? You might be spraying ultra rich if the bottle pressure is too low hence no power

 

no, i dont have bottle pressure guages, but absolutely nothing comes out of nitrous line, not even a slight hint of nitrous, and purge is still working fine.

 

MIne came with all the necessary jets up to 150hp! That is what they told me, and that is what was delivered.

Do you have a completely clogged nitrous filter?

This may sound basic, but ......is the bottle valve functioning properly.

Once you get these questions answered, about the only thing left is that the nitrous solenoid inside your Zex box is the problem! From there, it is either a bad internal wiring issue or a defective solenoid.

 

this is either an electrical problem or your nitrous solenoid is bad.
First of all you need a n2o pressure guage or you're in dangerous territory

Check if you get a valid 4 volt TPS signal

Check that your window switch opens (make sure you have a window switch)

Check that you have a valid ground and the rest of the wires.

Do you have an "active light" and is it on when you're trying to spray?

altered atmosphere said they couldnt install the window switch because everytime they tried, my car would go into limp mode and become undriveable. Oddly enough people have installed MSD window switches on zex kits in there garages with no problems so i dont know what altered did differently.
