well thats the reason i did all of this to figure out exactly what horsepower my jet sizes were.

i did my run at 88 degrees outside, bottle pressure was at 1050 which is were i make my most power with my setup, we dynoed in fifth gear, this is where everyone dynos our cars, 1:1 ratio, i hit it at 3000 rpms on purpose so i could hold it down to see what the power was like across the board and see how it responded to the bottle loss in pressure.

what was your bottle pressure at?? that is probably why we made different power...

i would definently be retarding my timing if i was you running any bigger of a shot, good luck with everything and let me know what you come up with !!

1bad350z: why do dyno pulls in 4th? I thought 5th gear gave the 1:1 ratio. When I did my basline pull (well exhaust/intake) uncorrected I made 259hp/254tq. The previous 4th gear pull only saw 248ish (have to dig up the sheet).

I would say dyno again, with the larger jets like you wanted, and have them do it in 5th and im sure you will see the 150 like your research says.

edit: oops too early in the mroning didn't see Mayhem's post mention the ratio. heh.

my bottle pressure was about 950, and the guy that dyno'd it said he always did the 350z's in 4th, not sure why????

next time im going with a 63N/ and ive added a crawford plenum and test pipes and y-pipe and were going to do it in 5th @ 1000-1050psi hoping for around 380-400whp, ill keep you guys posted

Well don't let that guy do the dyno again or make sure he does it in 5th. You have pretty much the same NA mods I have, I see no reason why you cant hit your hp goals. The Crawford plenum makes a WORLD of difference in the top end! Should work really well when spraying also. Cant wait to see your output! Good luck!

do you understand that with that 150 shot you are going to see upwards of 250 ft pounds of torque, that means high 400s, i am not sure if i would like to press my luck with that much torque on a stock bottom end, i would say, keep the jets you have, get your bottle pressure up closer to 1000 and use fifth gear before you up your jets, you will see a nice increase in power just changing to fifth gear, good luck man, if you do decide to up the jets, i REALLY wanna see what happens

his numbers arent going to jump up after another dyno in 5th, its just that his numbers will be a little higher but still the same car. If he doesnt break out in 3rd or 4th, maybe he just isnt making as much power as he would like!

a couple of people around here were dynoing 10-20 hp lower in 4th, that would give him a lot better numbers. i wish i had more information on their exact numbers. what ratio is 4th gear, i am sure we could figure it out

anyways good luck and make sure to post your info when you have it

well they are in, i havent even hit it yet, i put the stock box on, i just havent had time to run the wire off the utec to the ground on the solenoids so it will fully control it. i also need to change my fuel map on my nitrous map on the utec to the same as my NA map cause i finally have that running nice and smooth across the board

i should have monday and tuesday off work (finally) and i will be able to finish up my project. correction, the jets are 57N and 32F soo... its should be crazy when i go to the track on Wednesday night next week. i cant wait!!

i am using the NX nozzle, the 57 32 setup is aprox 125 flywheel hp, 100+- to the wheels.

i have my mickey thompson 15x8.5s slicks for the track

on the street i have crappy *** 255/45 yoko avs sports i am going to invest in some different tires soon for the street. not sure which route i am going though. probably some 18X10s with 295 BFs DRs

i dont ever drive my car so they will last me a while!!!

just curious what is the limitations on the nozzles for the nx? i have nos and i heard that after a certain jet size it just wont spray anymore cause the nozzles are 2 small. i was wondering if the NX nozzles were bigger? then maybe i can run bigger sizes.
