Default Dry Nos at WOT?

I have one question about dry nitrous setup.

When a car is in W.O.T. with injecting dry nitrous, the ECU does not have time to get feedback(instant amount of oxygen entered via intake)from the oxygen sensor and follow usual fuel-air mapping. Am I correct? Doesn't this cause knocking and damage the engine?

Please, I need input!!

AFAIK, the nitrous goes across the MAF and cools it thus forcing the computer to add more fuel. There is a maximum that the computer can adjust to and that will be the max you can shoot into the motor. It is a good safety feature to get an A/F gauge to see if you run lean at any point and that is basically the max you can shoot into the motor without going to a wet kit. I hope that huge run-on sentence helps you out a bit.

Any Zex or NOS dry system boosts the fuel pressure to meet it's fuel requirements. You aren't supposed to spray nitrous though the MAF. And if the Z fuel system is anything like the 'returnless' one in the Maxima you can't just install the kit and go. You will need an external booster pump and external regulator since the stock fuel regulator is in the fuel take. Also, it supplies 3.5 bar or about 52psi of fuel pressure instead of the traditional 3.0 bar or 43psi.

ZEX Tech discouraged me from the booster pump, said it wasn't needed in our cars. The bottle and module control the amount of fuel (for wet)

FWIW.

I agree about the AF thing and am purchsing one (Apexi)

Thats because they sold you a wet kit. You don't boost the fuel pressure with the wet system. What # fuel jet are you using? NOS can't get it through their skulls that the Maxima isn't running at 43 psi. I wonder if Zex knows that about the Z.
