NOS newbie question
I was wondering what the sensation was like with Nos. can you feel anything with a 50 shot? how about a 100? Is the power instanteous, like an SC or does it creep up like a turbo? how long can you sustain the nos feed?
do I need a flame suit?
do I need a flame suit?
Well I think the first thing to be addressed is NOS...do you plan on running a NOS kit, or something else (Zex, NX, Dynotune, etc)? NOS is a brand name, nitrous is the generic name.
It's instant. Yes, you can feel both a 50 and 100 shot.
Yes, you need a flamesuit.

Once it starts spraying, your back will be firmly planted in the seat. With a 90 shot, I gained 150rwtq instantaneously. I spray from 3500 to 6400 rpms in every gear but 5th and 6th (too much load on the motor, imho, and by then you already know you won the race
) Its a wonderful way to spend $1500.

The power is instantaneous, as the nitrous and fuel is injected into your engine. It immediately creates a larger explosion, thus more power.
You can sustain it as long as you want, given that it was tuned properly and your bottle pressure is within normal operating pressure.
You need like 7 flame suits. Do a search (and learn as much as you can about everything related to nitrous) before posting any more in the "NOS" sub-forum.

edit- Depending on your engine, your gains will differ (for example, V8 vs V6 gains from nitrous and even same model engines). Again, search would help.. but, you go through the bottle as fast as your time spent using nitrous, which also depends on your bottle pressure, size, shot size, etc. The nitrous around here is like $3-4/lb.
lol, I'm actually running TT on my z, but thought maybe my suv can use a little something. I guess Nitrous is the correct term, in this case.
that's some serious gains. do you go through a bottle pretty quick? they prolly aren't cheap..
No because I dont spray everyday, or every week. Hell I havent sprayed in about 3 weeks...BRB

Cannysage, how's your search coming along? Have you found the answers you're looking for? I didn't really mean that you'd have to stop posting.
Feel free to ask legitimate questions (not the basic info that could be found with a simple search).
Offtopic, but does your car still look the same as it did like a year or 2 ago? I remember your car as being one of the more tastefully done Zs.

what car are you putting it on? instant power, more so than a SC...you flip the switch and mash the gas and it hits. If you're not holding on, you will be once you spray for the first time. Boost is cool....nitrous is down right nasty. I'm built and twin'd and still have spray....can't do without WEP (for all you WWII buffs).
