I will, just need to get some extra cash together and get my truck back on the road full-time, I have to take the Z apart to make some little custom stuff, so I need another driver. Last time I parked my truck it was running like **** and has a small coolant leak, but I'm gonna spend some time on it this weekend and get it back out on the road.

Don't have to wait for others, try it yourself and find out. That makes it fun

I have plans to install a Zex kit with no more then a 100 shot over the winter. Will be my X-mas present. lol Currently saving up for Cams. Car will hold its own against some local boosted Z's then.

What cams are you going with?

I wouldn't be able to stop at a 100 shot, not on one of these cars. I'm a little concerned with how well the car will handle the power in 2nd gear on street tires, but thats not too big of a deal.

^^^ I keep telling Lakeside to go with the 302's + with spray... Oh , my GOD, can you say NASTY-Z!!!!!!!!! That would be amazing. Expensive, but a great build... So much stuff needed...

Like the ideas mentioned in this thread. Hopefully we see someone pull it off soon.

Best of luck to you Italiano & Lakeside...!!!

I am pretty sure 302's won't work with factory pistons.

I am staying with Tomei 264's! No valvetrain or piston mods. No thanks! Keeping it simple.

With my current Mods + Cams + Spray & Tunes's the car will be an animal..... My TR1's will burn off the car. My next set of tires I plan togo even wider. But I don't drive the car enough to wear them down anytime soon but then again the extra WHP should help

Once you go beyond 264's with the HR you need to do valvetrain & piston modifications. Which adds to the cost. I am looking to build a nice streetable Z that can hold its own if challenged. Starting to drewl over the SS camaro's! I figure if I keep modding my car, it will prevent me from parting out the car and trading it.. lol

R/T has no effect on ET. I have seen people sit there for 7-8 seconds and still run a 7.

Spray is fun on the street, but once I get the Z on bottle I will go to the track. Results won't be spectacular, weather down here always sucks, but i'll post off-on bottle runs and what not. Should be fun

First time out will probably be on KDW2's, not DR's though. I did see a nice set of wheels/tires at the local speed shop I normally deal with today, hopefully they are up for sale for the right price.

It will be a handful on spray and street tires........trying to plant 400-450wtq on a ~275 street tire is not gunna happen.

I hate people that do that. The tree is there for a reason, if you want to make bye runs all night, tell the tower you want to run by yourself and go to the end of the line. If you can't handle launching on the light, GTFO of my track.

I'm talking about the 100-150 shot, nothing crazy. It will hook.

I can launch. I don't think my R/T will be to bad.. Try Holeshoting with a Rubberband thats an inch thick and 50ft long! Damn Ouch your almost affraid to be 1st through the gate risk getting the recoil from that band.

I just don't know how the car will hook up either. I am running 275 rears Toyo TR1's which are not a Drag tire. Not sure the stock rims and tires would be much better either.

I'll make it hook...

If I could put down 300 on a FWD platform on a 225/40/18 KDW, I can do 400 RWD on a 285/40/19. LOT more tire, better weight transfer, more gradual torque hit (old car was boost+bottle).

It'll work.

I made 430whp on FWD platform.......it didn't hook on street tires or 245 DR's. What do you define as hook a 1.8, 1.9, 2.0, 2.1?

I dunno, never ran it at the track on real tires. 2.2 on street tires though

It hooked solid in 2nd gear rolling, even on bottle. That was all that mattered to me.
