I was wondering about if a Resistor is required for hook up of the TPS wire on a 05 DE?

 

Yes. I have a ZEX kit myself and it is programmed with your throttle position sensor wire (tap into the green wire) and it's so sensitive that if the volts do not read precisely than it will not work. Read the instruction manual and you'll see what I'm talking about. I had a kit sent to me without the resistor wire unknowingly and I had ZEX send me one and wallahh!

 

Thanks. It took forever for someone to respond to this. Do you know if their kits normally come with the resistor wire and the one you received was just missing? I'm curious because I am overseas right now. I got one of their kits and I was wanting to know the little things that are lacking in the kit so I can have everything at my house that I need to install when I get home.

 

Sounds like you are in my shoes about a year ago. I was overseas and also ordered a Zex kit and installed it when I got home. Bad news is that mine didn't have the resistor that is supposed to be included, but when I called them, they sent one out. I had to wait another 5 months before I got home to finish it up.
