Alex, when you say still having problems, did you try what 02trex said and not use the white sleeves?

I did not use the white sleves. I just borrowed someone elses picture off of the big bad nitrous post to illustrate where my adapter is leaking. I've given up on this thing! I have been trying for days to get it to not leak, and it is just not possible. Maybe my car is slightly different? The adapter is just too short and the nozzel at the end is too thin to properly seal. I haven't heard of anyone else having this problem yet, but I am going to find a more reliable method of tapping the fuel line.

Sorry man that sucks. What nitrous kit did you get? Did it come with a T to tap the fuel? Talk to MaxHax on 350zmotoring.com, T
'ed the fuel line. Good luck.

I had the same problem with the fuel leak and I thought it was the orings on the adapter as well but it wasn't. It was where the nitrous line connected to the adapter. We took off the one that came with it and put the elbow that came with the zex kit and it solved the leak. Hope that helps!

All ready done this. My problem is that the adapter leaks from where it fits into the hole where the damper origionally fit. I must have gotten a defective adapter.

Default hello?

did you read my post..........fixing a gas leak where you tapped in is very easy with the proper connections. I take it your leaking at the bottom of your adaptor??? If so do you have a compression fitting???? If you dont, it will fix your leaky problem.

Where can I get one of these SPX fittings? I have a fuel pressure sender I need to install and this seems like the perfect solution. Anyone?

SPX Kent-Moore can be reached at 800 345-2233; the adapter costs about $30.00 shipped, part # J44321-4 (quick disconnect something or other)

they wanted me to wait over a month to get mine, so i just T-ed into my fuel line. couldnt wait. oh well.

Thanks to MySunset350Z! I called them and, again, 1 month (Feb. 17, 2004), is the expected arrival date. I am starting to think that they make these as they are ordered. I guess that I am going to have to get under the hood and get a list of AN fittings and hose lengths that I need to replace the fuel lines and give Earls a call . ..

I would not recommend T-ing the fuel line. The pressure off the line is not regulated and will fluctuate. It has even been known to blow the line off (when someone T-ed into it). Wet kits utilize fuel pressure to maintain a proper A/F ratio, which is something you will taking your chances with if you T off the fuel line. I'm not telling you what to do, just thinking you'd rather be safe than sorry.

How much are you willing to pay for the adapter(with new screws and o-rings)? I can help you out. PM me.

lol,

round and round we go when someone (me) ran the T all season.

You know your fuel pressure drops in an A5T just prior to shifting right?

Remember that guys, who are playing with A/F.

OK, for the $64,000 question, where is the best place to get an accurate reading of the pressure to the injectors? I am only installing a pressure sender, not trying to create a fuel source.

The variation in fuel pressure off the pump is gospel (have it checked) but if someone is comfotable with that, then so be it. It's your car...do as you please. I repeat from the earlier post, "better safe than sorry."

The SPX adapter is designed for use in the delaer service department to check fuel pressure AFTER the damper, because the damper regulates the pressure. A complete kit is available from SPX to test this. After the damper is where you would check to see what the pressure going to your injectors is.
