Leaving armed with window switch and WOT switch
Would it still be unsafe to leave the nitrous armed for a mostly interstate driven DD without any visible gauges/switches (stealth install) if I had:
- NO2 pressure sensor to not allow activation if pressure is too low
- fuel pressure sensor to not allow activation if pressure is too low
- WOT switch to only allow activation at wide open throttle
- RPM window switch to only allow activation within a certain RPM range
- Bottle warmer that is controlled by the pressure sensor & hooked to battery power all the time
- UpRev tune for the shot being run
- an arming switch in the trunk or under the hood in a completely stealth location
PRIMARY REASON: I don't want business associates/clients riding in my Z to see the NO2 switches and gauges and have it inevitably remind them of their teenage son's Honda & dreams of being 2F2F.

I guess you could but I wouldn't want to do that.
You could install a stealth switch that looks oem and use it to enable/disable the entire system.
You putting the bottle warmer pressure sensor pre shut off valve so that it detects pressure at all times? Make sure the power circuit is Fail safe...as in if the pressure switch fails that the warmer stops heating. What about an empty bottle? Wont want to heat it up all the time.

I guess I would nee underpressure cutoff as well to account for an empty bottle so the warmer wouldn't run AND the system couldn't be activated.
Planning for "power failure = disabled/off" is definitely the direction that I would want to go. That's a great point to bring up, thanks.

I'll look to see where I could put an OEM switch for system activation/deactivation that still looks stealth.
I'm probably coming at this from a different direction than most. I'm not looking to sandbag for racing or anything like that. The car is slowly becoming less of a DD for me because I have other vehicles. But until I'm no longer driving it to the office regularly, I don't want the possible negatives that come from the F&F DemHondaBoyz phenomenon.
I'm already pushing the limits with a bodykit as far as the first impression that a business person might have. I can just imagine that having gauges and switches in the car would put me over the top in their minds as a Paul Walker wanna be.
Since their opinions/impressions can directly affect my career path and income, it's important what they think about me (everyone else can suxor it).

Sounds like you should trade for a 335i...fun, good looking and classy. That's what I would do. My Z would be to untamed for upper mgmt.
Use a non illuminated button and put it on the drivers side, below the steering wheel and they will never know. Use it to kill all the power to the nitrous system: heater circuit (use relay), solenoids, window switch ect.

We currently have Acura TL, Nissan Frontier, and the Z roadster. We'll be buying either Acura MDX, Porsche Cayenne, or similar for my wife in the next year and I'll be daily driving the TL instead of my Z, so this is only a temporary setback/limitation. Once it is no longer my main DD, I will go all out with it.
As far as the bimmer - I love the look of the Z, it is my favorite of all other than the R8, and I intend to keep it until it dies, I die, or we both bite it together. Also, living in the area that we both do (right near the BMW production plant), I'm sure you can appreciate that I don't want to drive an over-popular car that everyone around here drives since they work for BMW.

Rather than having to deal with the bottle pressure and heating of the bottle, look into the NANO kit.
You can have everything armed and that's fine, but remember that you don't want the nitrous lines to be constantly pressurized just because you want the instant "go" whenever you want. I can leave mine armed, but I don't leave my bottle open.
With the nano kit, all you have to do is open the bottle and you're ready to go.
