Default question about kinetix and n20

is the kinetix plenum safe to use with a zex wet kit....i ordered the plenum a few weeks ago ....gave them my c/c info in an email a few weeks back...well they never took the money so i bought a 55 to 150hp zex wet kit from a member in here....well today when i get home i get online to do my checkbook and see the debit for the plenum on there.....

is it safe to use both?can the kinetix plenum handle it?

any coments are welcomed...thanks

john

Kinetix has said that it is fine.

but the only thing you have to worry about it fuel puddling.... because with a plastic plenum, even a little back fire into the plenum will be a disaster! So I wouldn't go above 100-125 shot with it... and make sure not to spray at low rpm's (at least above 2500), because their is not enough suction to pull the fuel and nitrous into the chambers fast enough.

One thing that just hit me is that the nitrous comes out very cold... and i am not sure what the result would be, if lets say the plenum is slightly warm... and your nozzle is facing right at the plenum... and the nitrous instantaneously cools it too much... i know glass is know to crack from purges... ???

Hope that helped a little...
Later when i think of more, i'll try to post it...

Peace
-Eric

the kinetix should be fine with it. i am planning on running it later after i can get the motor built. puddling is a problem with any type of plenum (ask mjedens). the reason mustangs intakes crack is because their lower plenum is plastic and the upper is aluminum. this is the opposite of ours. the lower mustang plenum gets hotter than our upper and the cold nitrous makes it crack. i doubt that the kinetix being an upper plenum get hot enough to crack with nitrous running through. hey, if it cracks, there's a lifetime replacement warranty!

I have the Kinetix plenum and will ber installing a Zex kit after a few weeks when I have time. I asked the Kinetix people and they stated that I should be ok. Never heard anything about the puddling issue.....have to research this. I think that I will only be running like a 55 shot anyways.....probably not too big of a deal. I will definately post the results after I dyno and spray. Thanks to fluidZ for his patience with me and my crazy schedule with ehlping me with the NO2. He is a vlauable asset to everyone regarding both NO2 and F/I with his recent experieneces.
