Hello!

My first system on the Z was NOS and work great... now I have NX and is perfect too... so whatever brand you chosse it will be fine for the Z... two important thing about Nitrous and the Z, 1) start with 75 shot and go to the dyno to see your A/F mix is under 13.0 and 2) if you go with 100+ shot at least go 1 step colder plugs (I recommend Iridium NGK or Denso)
oh sorry one more, buy a MSD Digital window switch for safety (part # 8969)

I just looked into that MSD Window Switch, now what can you do with it? Is it so at a certian set rpm the nitrous is active and then at a high set rpm the nitrous and be shut off? Which i like the idea if it can be used to shut it off at a high rpm. All set with bouncin my Z off revy w/ a miss shift while spraying...eeekkkk. Another thing...could this be used as the acually activation of the nitrous after the main arming switch is on? Instade of using a micro switch? Kinda not looking forword to mounting a micro switch under my pedal. Some more info would be helpful with people using this. Thanks!!!

you want to stay on the safe side. go 1 step colder with anything over a 50 shot. 2 step colder for anything over 100. its not worth the risk of detonation for a couple extra bucks.

no no. i was referring to the engine detonating. what happens is chamber temps get too hot and ingnite the fuel before "top dead center" which is very bad. it will fry your engine or launch a shaft out the side of your engine block leaving you with a nice sized hole in your engine. you'll need a new engine.

the colder spark plug helps with soaking up some of the heat and distributing it throught the engine block instead of having it stay in the combustion chamber. a worthy safety precaution.

it depends on the kit you're using. some companies recommend it, some dont. i have the nx kit, and you dont have to mess with the timing untill you go higher then a 150 shot. i wont be going that high anytime soon so im ok for now.

you'd have to ask someone who has used it before. i really have no idea. i know there's a bit more to installing those kits because of a controll box the has to be programed. but you still need the colder plugs from anything over a 50 shot.

ngk makes good 1 step colder coppers and 1 step colder irridiums

copper is best but needs to be changed every 10k miles. the copper 1 step colder part # is lfr6a-11, not sure about the irridium plugs.

also, denso makes good 1 and 2 step colder plugs. im currently using the denso 2 step colder. denso 2 step colder plugs part # is ikh22, 1 step colder is ikh20
