Default Hot Day! Hot Nitrous Tank!

Hey guys, I'm in San Diego, and it got pretty hot out today. Well anyways, I've never checked the pressure during a hot day before so I decide to open the bottle up and check. I open the bottle and here a slight leaking. Not really sure where it's coming from, but I feel a little air coming from the gauge area. I look at the gauge and I first thought it said zero, but upon further examination, it was actually maxed out at 1500 psi. I try to purge but nothing is happening? At this point I'm like So I close my bottle with the remote opener.

I get my wrench out and loosen the main feed from the bottle to let out some pressure. I stop when the gauge gets around 800 psi and try my purge again. This time it works no problem. I can only assume that the pressure was too high for the purge valve to work. Anyways, I take the bottle out of the car because I was afraid that the safety valve would open and dump the nitrous that I just filled it with yesterday.

Does anyone know at what pressure that valve blows? Safety release valves come stock on all bottles right? It's not something I have to buy seperately?

the blow off valve pressure is 3000 psi.... you need a blow down tube or if the pressure hits 3000 psi it will release in your car... I'll look like you're hotboxing .. LOL

Am I right in assuming its not a good idea to spray at such a high psi? I would run lean right?
