Lightbulb Nos Question....How much is too much????

Hey guys,

I was wondering whats the most someone has squeezed on a G/Z repeatedly without blowing up the engine....

I was thinking about a Dual Stage kit. A fogger kit, Direct port and a purging kit. But i really think that would be too much!!!! WHat shall i do? Rebuild? Yes i have thought about it but way too much money right now...

Whats a safe number that someone should shoot and be ok?? I wouldn't shoot this all the time. probably 5-7 times max..

Thanks

Ed

Ed,
Finally adding some show to your sedan's go? hehe

A good quality 100 shot (NX, NOS) will give you about 75HP to the rear wheels and a lil' more than 100ft-lbs. That is what most people here seem to settle with, and their motors run happy all day long. Going beyond that, I would suggest some more safeguard equipment, maybe not necessary, but a good thing to have (J+S safeguard, AEM Wideband).

If you do it ... be sure to get a window switch from MSD (part #s can be found here) just to be safe, even with the smaller shots

I've heard of the stock engine taking a 400 shot for a while. Seems to be the safest route is a 100 shot with one step colder plugs. There are some with 150 shot and doing well. If you only plan on using it 5-7 times, you could get away with a 150-200 shot if you wanted.

nx jets r rated at the wheels, so an nx 100 shot would put 100 down to the ground.

I have NX with 62/41... they say 62/38 is 150 shot but I think is good for around 135 whp... my friend Carlitos have 67/41, NX system also and put 155 whp with good A/F ratio... and he have the system for a year now

Good luck!
