Louisiana Z/Import cookout April 29th *Lakefront*
i went to nissan for the oil consumption test and they changed my oil/filter and told me to come back in 1k miles. i was burning alot of oil before but ive driven about 500 miles on the oil nissan put in there and havent burned barely any. maybe a millimeter. what do you guys think happened? maybe they put thicker oil?
(the car was sitting all night. i checked the dipstick in the morning before i started it up)

when did they change your oil? I would imagine it would take a little time to notice the oil burning. For a DD you probaly put 200-400 miles per week. I would suspect it would take 2 weeks for it to register.
Also, did you get a receipt or work order stating the type of oil they put in? What oil were you using before this happened?

I'm not sure what other people use, but my car (03) never burned oil until i used Mobil 1 Synthetic. This could be the oil, or just a coincidence. I think Greg had the same issue when he ran Mobil 1 Synthetic as well.
buy a Lexus.. problem solved.
shut up greg.

If you want to fix it though, get a wig, few baby dolls, and a soccer ball and buy an IS250
