So I got that Greddy TT kit. It was too good of a price to pass up. I still want to wait for my explorer to sell before I bring everything your way EL. Mid August is the date I'm shooting for.

I meant to tell you guys that if I can get some good quality pics of fuel return lines and any other lines you want to be steal braided then I can make them here. It would be better if you can gete the size of the hose but I can almost wing it with just pics. It should be -sizes. typical would be -3 through -6......

My job is aviation hydraulics and part of it is to make steal braided lines. What better way to mod you car then using some tax payer paid for, steal braided lines.... hahaha

Make sure you get steel braided lines that are teflon coated to prevent gas vapors to a minimum. Regular steel braided lines used as fuel lines are known to emit a high amount of fuel vapor

Steel braided lines come in rubber or teflon. there is no "teflon coated" that i know of. I'm actually hoping someone gets back to me with some specifics so I can make some for my car as well.

Right now I just add it to the list of ish I SHOULD have done while I was home on leave.

I've got some NOOB qestions.

1. Should I consider a boost controller even though I have a UTEC ?

2. What is the difference between a blow off valve and a wastegate?

3. Is it better to have both ?

1. UTEC doesn't control boost.

2 + 3 = You need both regardless.

Utec can control boost through the use of the boost selonoid.

1) I would get a external boost controller. You can control boost through the utec, but you still have to get a gauge to monitor boost pressure. By the time you add both together you could have gotten a Blitz SBC or the HKS EVC 6 (which is what i have). These two are considered the best on the market and you would be wise to spend good money on a good boost controller. Shitty boost controller = KABOOM

2) Wastegates control the amount of exhaust gases that enter in to the exhaust housing of the turbine. Blow off valves vent air that is in the charge pipe when the throttle is closed.

Definitely want a boost control, probably one from Greddy, and the kit will have the blow off valve, and the wastegate, which are both essential for the turbo's operation.
