Louisiana Z/Import cookout April 29th *Lakefront*
hey everyone **** premier nissan on vets. dont go there. they charged me for the wrong part and wont refund it. so i had to pay for it and the part i needed. i had to pay for their mistake.
they also told me it was normal for a 350z to burn a qt of oil every 1k miles. if thats true, then if you change your oil every 3k miles you would only have 2 qts in there.
^^ that was when i went in for a oil consumption test. ^^
i thought i was burning oil, but then i switched away from mobile 1. had no problems after i switched to a different oil.

The dealerships in this area suck for the most part. I have an 04, and it burned oil like crazy, on Royal Purple synthetic with Nissan doing the oil changes. When I complained of low oil pressure, and told them my oil light was coming on, the response from the tech was, could not duplicate, and of course that was after they changed my oil. I switched to Amsoil, and have had no problems.

and that 1 qt every 1K miles is BS. If you have to get service or need parts, go to Ray Brandt Nissan. Ask for Scott, he's the service manager, cool guy.

I've been using Giles here in Lafayette and haven't had a problem with them yet.
Though I never owned the car when it was under warranty and never let them do any work on my car.
I only order parts through them, but they have yet to screw that up.
Also, my neighbor works as a tech there =P
