Does anyone know how to bleed air out of the coolant system? I ask because sometimes the temp gets a little hot but only when I am difting a few laps in a row. I have a Setrab oil cooler but it is still doing it. So I think I have air in there somewhere.

There is a link to it I'll find.
edit: taken from the post:
Purging
put funnnel on, and fill 1/4 of it with coolant
get to temp around 170 degress
rev to 3 to 5K up and down for about 3 to 5 min
you will be able to see the bubble come out
plug and put remainder of coolant in over fill
cap rad and enjoy

there is a valve on the coolant line on the passenger side around the rear of the plenum.
Open that up with a screw driver (its not the green cap), turn the heater on full blast, make sure radiator and overflow tank are full, hold the rev at about 2-3 for a few minutes, then let it cool off.
If coolant starts coming out of the bleeder valve, retighten it
keep doing this until you see now air bubbles in either the bleeder valve or radiator.
Or maybe just try jason's method.
It seems like people have a hard time bleeding the system. I've had to do it three times (thanks to headers) on my car, and once on Ian's

Warm up engine to normal operating temperature with radiator cap installed.
6. Run engine at 3,000 rpm for 10 seconds and return to idle speed.
Repeat two or three times.
7. Stop engine and cool down to less than approximately 50°C (122°F).
Cool down using a fan to reduce the time.
If necessary, refill radiator up to filler neck with coolant.
8. Refill reservoir tank to MAX level line with coolant.
9. Repeat steps 5 through 8 two or more times with radiator cap installed until coolant level no longer drops.
10. Check cooling system for leaks with engine running.
11. Warm up engine, and check for sound of coolant flow while running engine from idle up to 3,000 rpm with
heater temperature controller set at several position between COOL and WARM.
Sound may be noticeable at heater unit.
12. Repeat step 10 three times.
13. If sound is heard, bleed air from cooling system by repeating step 5 through 8 until coolant level no longer
drops.
Clean excess coolant from engine.

Thanks for clearing that up Greg.
I've had so much air in my system before that I could hear it bubbling in the overflow tank after I turned off the car from a drive.
