The seller is a friend of mine, so I'm not worried about his screwing me or anything. As soon as I got them, I texted him & we've been working out the details of a claim this afternoon. If Fedex doesn't honor my claim, he wants to refund me, something I absolutely won't let him do. It isn't his fault at all.
He sent pics to me of the wheels when they were taken home from the shop after being mounted & they were perfect.
Thanks for the input, guys. I've never had an issue with Fedex, so here's to hoping it'll go smoothly.
& thanks for the compliment Tony.
Do the boxes that they were shipped in have damage in conjunction with the location of the damage on the wheels?
I finally took my car for a test ride today. I had to go down my curb completely sideways. As soon as I picked up speed to about 17mph, I would hear some rubbing. I was surprised to find out that it was only my front driverside tire that was rubbing when I hit bumps. I tried pulling the front fenders a little and that didnt help. Its actually hitting the spot where my front bumper mounts to the fender.
I look at the passenger side to compare and I notice that my TOE is out a lot more on the driverside. Got an appointment with chris friday.
Not true, a lot of my vendors shipped them mounted already. He just has bad luck, and got the one delivery that probably got thrown around.
Hmmm...just seems that every vendor i have bought wheels from or was going to buy wheels from doesn't like to mount tires the ship them do to the fact that they are more prone to damage.

Trust me I have been doing this for a long time. When packed correctly, you won't have any problems.
