haha come on. we all knew who was going to win even before the video started.
Right. Which is exactly the point. Everyone who clicked the link knew the Veyron would win. It wasn't supposed to be a fair fight.
The point of the video is that the GT-R is a known well as a "fast" car &, from there, to show just HOW much faster the Veyron is. The video wasn't supposed to be a fair race-- it was to show just how fast one of the fastest production cars is.
Hey I got 235 and 245s on my 04 base wheels...think I could take the 215s off my 2 stock scion wheels and use them on my z wheels and would that effect anything as they might be a tad stretched?
The point of the video is that a GT-R is a universally accepted "fast" car & the Veyron absolutely murders it. Perspective.
Not much "perspective" when you don't know the details of the yardstick used to measure it. How long was the run, what were the actual times, how far ahead was the Veyron at the finish, etc.?
If anything the distorted perspective is that the Veyron weights about 280Kg more than the GTR (15%), has more then 2X the horsepower, costs 15X more and with all that going for it, it only beat the GTR by about two seconds over what appears to be a mile long course. On the Top Gear track, the Veyron was only 1.4 seconds faster over the 1¾ miles course. On the Ring, the Veyron was 11 seconds slower than the GTR.
