I got a question. I was thinking about turbo the ka I have in my 240sx just to have as a track beater and learn how to really drift with instead of learning with my Z. If I turbo the ka, what exhaust can I use? Can I just use one of the 3" sr20 exhaust? I haven't really searched but I'm curious.

I just asked Jay and he said that would be the way to go on the exhaust question.

Yeah if I were you and looking for that budget build is to use that Apex-i NEO as your controller and go with that turbo kit.
If not that then go with the Bikirom since Lance has had good experiences with it and is cost effective.

There is no need to turbo the ka if you just want it to be a track beater. If I were you I would put money towards coilovers, 1.5 or 2-way diff or just weld it, and a bucket seat, in that order. Oh and don't forget tires. It's easier to learn the basics this way, a turbo ka with stock suspension and open diff is no fun on the track.

If you need anything done to the 240 from suspension, tuning, to turbo installs I'm here

Lance

Thanks for the help. I knew I was gonna have to get the lsd welded and I was definately already thinking about suspension. Just curious, but why is a bucket seat a must have item? As far as power goes, I just didn't know if the stock ka had enough power to keep a drift going. Since I've been playing around with it, it really doesn't really have that much to it. I think I'll go try to do some donuts and see if it holds up.

It would be cheaper to go his route as well. All I'm using the car for is getting back and forth to work right now. Occasionally, I will make a small trip for work down to Venice or something like that. It will probably be more reliable on the road without going turbo. Plus I get to keep my a/c. But, if I decide to take it on the track, I'll definately beat the **** out of it.

Morning bishes!

http://www.gtspec.com/index.php?nav=...&pid=63&cat=94

Those are the GT Spec headers. I got there site from the sponsored section, so I figured they were at least somewhat decent. I did a brief search but couldn't find the info I was looking for quickly enough so that's why I asked ya'll before I left work.

So now, does anyone have any preferences or heard any disadvantages or advantages about one or the other?
