If they were to change your motor, they should give you a car to drive during that time. I really don't see a problem. I would love for them to change my motor after a year or two. That means I get a whole new motor.

I didn't say that they were going to give you a new engine because they're changing your oil all of the time. You miss the point of the oil consumption problem. The oil consumption creates a problem on your engine. Not that you have to change the oil or add more. It actually ruins the motor. And believe me when I say that oil consumption will ruin a motor really quickly. Therefore changing your motor due to the oil consumption and the problems it has caused.

i had problems with third gear in my car and i brought it to premier nissan...****ty...and they told me that they were going to fix the syncros just in third, and they called me a week later and said that it would be too much trouble so they just changed the whole tranny... i got lucky b/c now i have a brand new tranny for free, instead of having a "rebuilt" tranny.....if i get a plenum spacer, does it void my factory warranty???????????

Actually yes but I think the problem was with the earlier engines. If they put a new motor, I'm sure they will make sure the new doesn't have any issues. If so, then just burn down your local dealership to make you feel better. j/k

yes it will legally void it.

edit: I forgot to add that it will be only if it's the cause of the problem.
