There are safe places to live in the city but it will cost you.
Places I would live
1.Destrehan 25-30 min to down town, low low crime, and decent rent.
2.Metairie 5-10 min drive but make sure you take a look around on your next trip
3.Kenner 15-20 min drive but it has some very shady areas, avoid anything around the loyola I-10 exit.
Don't live on the ****, all the ***** live there
