if sharif was smarter, he should have waited for the engine to blow first then stated y it blew with all of his facts..thats what i would have done...for the sake of making ur shop look better than somebody else's...ftl

Well perhaps that day it happened to be slow at his shop and he decided it was a right time to get on the boards and hit the keys. I think you are right, I would have waited. Damn to be honest I would not have even said anything. Chalk it up as a win if a customer takes his car from business A to your place so u can get everything sorted.

I doubt it man. Typically I recommend not staying around my house when LSU plays at home. Thats why I try not to go to NOLA if there is a night game, its a BISH to get out or get back home

I don't think Sharif did wrong by doing what he did. I think he did it because the guy was scammed by RA and I think it should be known that a certain shop is scamming people. By the way, what do you think would've happened if the motor blew during or after the tune if he had not told the customer and others. All the blame would've been on Sharif. Sharif has never called out anyone for there work but scamming someone on a motor build is just rediculous.

Your gonna pay the same price for everything if you go with the Vortech. Just run low boost and don't get a boost controller. If you don't have a boost controller, you can't turn up the boost and blow your motor. It's simpe. Then, you already have the twins if you want to go big later.

I'm gonna read more later but it is my understanding from what I've read so far that nothing was handled or taking care of until Sharif brought it to everyone's attention. He called everyone and told them what he found. That's when things started "getting taken care of." Just like VRT did when they got caught.

It's true. A huge problem that people have is getting boastful with the power. They get comfortable with the power or race a few races, then want more. So what happens? They say,"well, I'll just turn it up a little." Then a little more. And theeeeennnnn. POOF. Just don't get a boost controller. Get a 5-7 psi tune without a boost controller and you'll be safe. DO IT!!!!!!

This maybe true but I still think that everyone should know what happened. What if someone else would go to RA to get a motor built. No one ever knew of this incident. So they get there motor back and pay for a port and polish head. Pay for a built motor with stock main and head bolts, etc. You know the parts. But anyway. Here's the twist. You get them to install the motor and turbos. You never got anyone to look for these things nor do you know what you're looking at. Next thing you know, the motor blows. He brings the car back to RA and what do they do. They would probably charge him to do it all over again. I would definately want to know this type of stuff. I'm just saying this about this particularly situation because it's not just childish shop bashing. This is some serious ****. It could've cost that guy twice the money in the long run.

If I brought something to a shop and he noticed that something I had payed for was in-fact not what I got I would hope that shop would at the least let me know. I wouldn't expect them to out the other shop like Sharif did, I don't believe that was the right idea, but I would at the very least hope that any shop I brought my car to would mention if they saw something wrong.

El Verdugo, if you had been asked to install and tune this motor to 500-600 hp, please tell me you wouldn't do so knowing it would not last. I feel you are obligated to tell your customer if their expectations and wishes are too high for their cars reliability. To say you would just not say a word and wait for it to blow sounds pretty shady to me.
