Soleil, I say act like you forgot it was her birthday when the day actually comes, and when you finally go see her and she's all mad you give her flowers, take her out to either dinner or a picnic, and give her a small piece of jewelry. Works every time and if you do it right you'll probably get a special thank you by the end of the night.
