Well guys, I'm thinking of trading in the Z
. I'm being serious too.
I went to All Stay Nissan in BR today with my girlfriend and test drove a negaro red base model 08. I did some research before I went and then I went there and talked to them. They are more than willing to get my current car off my hands (with negative equity, but I won't go for that part) and will pretty much lower my payments by 200 a month, only catch is I want to put down 10k or so to get to that low monthly payment. Curious on what some of ya'll think. I'd like to keep my Z, but more and more problems are coming up with it and I'm beginning to think it's a lemon. When my uncle looked at it and saw my eye lids kept getting smashed by the hood, he looked under it and immediately noticed the front bumper had been repainted before I bought the car. He also noticed that some of the **** in the front was newer than the rest of the chit in the engine bay.
All in all, in the next few months I'm going to have to spend upwards of 5k for an almost outdated Z just to keep it going, or just get a new one. The main thing I wanted to know is can I still use my H&R lowering springs on the 08. Well like I said, opinions welcomed.

Ryan, that would be something I'd really like to do, but at the same time, turboing the car isn't something I want to be concerned about while in college. I'd rather get a new, stock, and reliable car that I don't have to worry about and with the lack of performance parts out I won't get that major itch I have right now to mod it.
Nothix, I've already put almost 1k or so in just OEM chit that was broken when I bought it that the dealer refused to fix without charging me for my first born. Other than that, my entire sound system is complete garbage (the speakers are blown, not OEM, wiring if fawked up, and the HU is fawked). My engine is actually beginning to have a slight knock and it's leaning towards having to possibly rebuild it. My trunk interior pieces along with various other panels are either broken or gouged to chit, and need to be replaced. My seats aren't in the most amazing condition for the age. My drivers window is leaking, the motors for the windows are going out. My A/C has been acting up but hasn't gone out or anything. The car seems to have possibly been in some kind of accident because of the replaced parts under the hood. I also have NO TOOLS under the trunk floor mat and the guy who owned it before also cut the piece that holds down the spare so it just flaps around back there. The light in the trunk is also missing so it's hard to find chit at night back there. This is the main problems with the car that I'm having and I'm sure other things are going to pop up again. I'd like to keep my car and find a way to get the payments down but at the moment I'm leaning towards just writing it off as a lost cause and getting a new one.

If worse comes to worse and I keep the car I'll probably go ahead, pay it off, and then just build it despite wanting to save.

sco....if you keep your car. I'll fix your sound system for free for you. You just need to buy the parts and I can prob do that for you at my cost(in other words dirt cheap). I normally wouldn't do it for free but I'd rather fix something for you to help you out rather than getting raped by some shop trying/doing it.
