i've raised the back of the hood almost 1/2 inch above the fenders (looks pretty ghetto). I took off the strut brace and front support beam that comes on the 07-08's. I have lifted the front OEM latch all the way up. Removed the rear portion of the engine cover and the hood is still laying on the motor. there is nothing I can cut on the hood to make it work. I'm guessing this hood was not meant for HR motors.
so its hitting the plenum? can you get some pics for us?

yea. the aerocatch hood pins really came in handy and bringing down the warped passenger side. there is a lot of tension in the center of the hood though so I expect it to crack before too long. I can live with the way it looks for now.
no pictures until everything is completed..... lol
^damn man i wish you were closer so i could come help you out. do you have a plenum spacer? if you have the spacer take pull it off to see how much more clearance you would have.

The HR motors are a little different. The engine cover is 2 pieces and once the cover is removed, you don't see the plenum directly. It's like another plastic cover that is part of the plenum. It's good for now. I'll go back to Korea before long and save some money for a new hood for next time.

Oo. did you take the engine cover off at least? i know absolutely nothing about the hr motor. i just dont want to see someone wasting $600 on a hood.
