There is a guy in Lacombe who has the nismo exhaust with the berks. It is loud as *****. That is no understatement. He does have an HR, don't really know how that plays in to the equation tho.
Don't tell me that - I don't want to have to get another exhaust.
I've read varying opinions on the Nismo/Berk combo. Some people consider it loud, others say it drones at 2-3K, others say it's not that loud. That's one reason I wanted to hear it.
You had the Nismo at one time didn't you? Did you have stock cats then?

it was quiet at idle but when you got on it, it was pretty loud
the test pipes i had kinda gave it a raspy sound too
nothing a hammer to the frame/unibody won't solve

I broke my effing small toe on my left foot tonight. Training at the mma gym barefoot and snagged it. Hurts like hell now. It's swelling up and turning all shades of purple and green.

i had an 06 with test pipes and nismo exhaust with the Greddy TT kit. I didnt think it was too loud at all. I've got a video clip of me making run on the track by myself last year if you want to check it out. The video and sound quality isn't the greatest. Quit a few members were there that night. I think I totaled my car the very next weekend. Man, I crash Z's every time I come home.

I avoid Siegen during the week, too much traffic.
I heard yours from outside and it wasn't obnoxious, but I have heard the complaints about the drone from several people.
It probably doesn't matter that it's a HR or not, the noise starts at lower RPMs. It's just that the HR puts out higher RPMs.
The rasp is why I didn't even consider test pipes.
I'll have to give it a listen at home tonight - video is blocked at work.
Thanks for the responses everybody. I guess I'll have to look at a new plan instead. I've got a bad cat and was looking to use that as an excuse to get the HFCs.

I sold my Stillen a few months ago to give me some incentive to buy another exhaust down the road (missed the stock exhaust note too). Too bad the next one is expensive as chit so I'll be rocking the stocker for another year or two
