Doesn't satin paint fade faster due to no clear coat?

I think there is a satin clear you use over the base coat.

 

Speaking of paint, I just thought about my old accord's paint job. I painted it with a gray primer and topped it with some cheap azz $80 per gallon look a like old acura type-s blue I bought from Sherwin Williams here in Houma. Never put a clear on it. It was only meant to serve as a temp job. I painted it 6 years ago. Anyway, I saw it the other day and the paint still looks exactly the same. Has not faded a bit.

 

I dont think imma do it. Like that picture makes it looks so good but Ive also seen others pictures...some of the same car that the car looks cheap. I dunno. Prob just respray the whole car black. Maybe a different black tho.....is there really different blacks lol?

 

They do clear it lance...some special clear or something.....

That wouldn't be a bad idea. My house hold has a Wii, PS3, X-box 360, and an XPS 730 w/dual 1gb video cards, w 6 gb's of ram.
