That could be the factor but alot of the time cheap shops do fast and shitty work and more than likey they use cheap paint materials. thats what probably happened in your buddys case.
Not with your help I won't...... hahahah
I learned how to paint in a Corrosion Control school and then spent a year painting F/A-18 Jets (6 years ago). I did all the wet sanding and prep on my 1st project car and a friend's dad in Alabama painted it for me (9 years ago). The clear coat is the only thing that kind of worries me....

id R&I everything then bring it to the paint shop just for paint.
no i havnt done a 350z but done quite a few frameless doors like so. whatever you do try and leave the glass in. there is so much alignment with frameless windows (alignment with glass). but it you just leave glass in and replace motor youll be fine. just undo glass from window then replace motor or regulator assy
You have to pull it from the top of the glass, and hold the switch up simultaneously, or lightly bang on the door around the middle of it where the motor is, and hold the switch. I went through 3 motors on that stupid car, and I don't miss it....

The window is all the way in the down position, so I guess I'd have to stick something in there to grab the window and pull it up.
I know I could go through the rest of the forum but I'd rather ask people from Louisiana. I got a 04 Roadster, plan on putting a Pioneer AVH P3200BT, speaker infinity 6032si, subwoofer kappa 100.9w, amp 5350a 5 channel and kappa tweeters 10.9t..... with the roadster i have to use a free air sub, has anyone done an install on a roadster?? or could someone recommend a good installer?
Also thinkin about painting my calipers, any suggestions?
Thanks

Unfortunately for me, I've done both routes but I've spent a good bit of time and money doing so. I wish I would have forked up the money before I went through all the trouble. Good equipment and installs are not cheap.
Bang a little harder, it will come up, and try it with the door open, and closed.
I had the same thing happen last winter. The window was stuck and no amount of banging, slamming, grabbing... Would make it go up. I had to end up taking the door panel off and pushing the window up from the bottom and then pulling it up. It sucks but there is a thread on taking the door apart

Should I get in there with some pliers just to pull it up a little?
