W900 installed and working like a champ. i got lazy and didnt hook up the reverse camera yet because i didnt feel like running a wire from my reverse light all the way up to the dash. ill save it for a rainy day.

i would recommend this unit to anyone about to upgrade. superfast iphone interface, near HD display, and with my one trip around the block the NAV seems pretty accurate.

Thanks Jeremiah, the install was a ***** but only took about 4 hours total. Let me know if you run into any issues with the w200 brotha...

Not concerned too much about equalizer. All that will be external for the route I'm going. I'm more concerned on pre-out voltage, bluetooth features, and nav.

The 06/07 sensors work with the older 03-05 cars.

which kenwood are you thinking of? I've got everything working on my w900bt and im telling you it's pretty nice. as long as my windows are up people have no problem hearing me talk. the mic is pretty big so i mounted it right below the leather by the driver's right knee. i used the nav to go from LA to NC without any issues. the "browse for nearby" isn't as good as some of the others but as long as you know the name of what your looking for, you know..... the only thing not working right is my reverse camera and thats because im too lazy to run another wire from the rear to the front. but i can still select it and watch it, it's just not automatic when i put it in reverse. Also i'm able to select BT Audio once my iphone 4 syncs but im not able to get pandora to stream the music to it. i only tried once and i havn't really read the directions so im sure it's a simple fix. besides the plain background, i'd say this HU has to be one of the best on the market right now. im not a professional and it only took me about 4 hours to hook up as well...

now if only i was so lucky with my rear hub i dont know if it was me drifting over a curb last year or my riding so low but my driver side hub is shot, just hit 7,000 miles. i jacked up my car today and my wheel moves about 1/4 inch.... hopefully the new one will be in and i can change it this weekend....

my Z got pummeled by a wall of water from a passing 18 wheeler on the way to work this morning and stalled it instantly in the middle of the road, took 7.5 hours to get a tow truck to get me to the dealer. . .i'll know the extent of the damage tomorrow afternoon. . .hoping it didn't bend or break any rods when it locked up. . .

Just got the word from Nissan earlier today....gonna need a new motor but the claims guy from progressive won't be able to get there till tuesday to see what's going on and make a decision. . .so since the opportunity has shown itself I'm brainstorming as to how I can find a performance motor that has warranty for the price they would have to replace that one...they were talking about how, in that situation, an insurance company would most likely get a used low mileage motor from a place called LQK and I don't like that idea cause i don't know how well the other motor was taken care of...I think I said the name right...I wonder what progressive is gonna allow...

give shariff a call at forged. you'll have to spend a few dollars out of pocket but if you're looking for a reliable built VQ with a 1 year warrenty that could easily turn 500-600+hp once boosted, they would be my first choice.

my second choice would be to try and collect the insurance claim and do an LS2 swap

just my 2 cents.....

DO NOT go with LKQ parts! ihave to mess with their body parts alot and i hate dealing with body parts that are lkq. much less a engine... i would not trust any engine/tranny from lkq. not for a 350. maybe for a kia, not a z though. get a quote from lkq for the motor plus labor and get progressive to write u a check then go built or ls swap. youll have to come out of pocket but itll be reliable and thats def gunna be in the back of your head alot if u cant trust your lkq motor
