well my f&^$king driver side window motor went out today (again!) but if they still let me go around the track someone should come with me! ill be gettin there around ten ill look for yall by the track

 

So how did everyone do today at the track for those who ran? Today was my first day ever with a manual transmission on the track and my best time was 14.895 @ 95.71mph. yea i know it sucks but i am getting better, i just have to get my camber fixed and new back tires.

Can anyone recommend some good street tires that have a decent amount of traction?

 

Didnt run mine, my friend ross ran his got a 12.2 but should of been low 11s. We got some tuning to sort out, and some better tires haha. His first run first three gears he had to get out of it. So maybe next time will be a better outing. Good seeing you guys. See everyone the 19th.

Nola350z...i have nitto invos and i like them. make sure camber and toe is good i lost mine after 4k miles hahaha. Thats why I rode up in stockies yesterday lol.

Yea I know I have some camber issues going on in the back that I'm going to fix soon and thank you for the advice on tires Total D. I had been thinking about going with the nitto invos or the nitto nt 555.

We got a lot of attention throughout the day. I'm happy with the way mine looked... This lights were a btch but turned out ok. Didn't install the HALO or Demon eye because I broke them but I did experiment with the red paint and got some good results through the STi lense.


Had to grab the NOS girls for a little photoshoot. I'm still a newb to photography though...


Although I did get a good shot of them on Z_enthusiast's car... SURPRISE!!! he wasn't even around to see it. lol

There were some pretty nice cars out there, the Cadillac being my personal favorite. REVHAI took 2nd in the bracket races. he only lost by .01 of a second which is pretty commendable I think...

I had a lot of fun, hope to meet more people at the lakefront next Saturday...

 

Anytime man...Spl makes some nice parts, that's who I went with. Got a good deal on them as well. Invoes would be a better tire to drive around everyday on over the 555. If just for the track go 555.

yea i think im going to get the rear camber links and the rear toe links. Is there anything else i should think about getting to adjust the rear camber?

 

Didn't get around to meet anyone, seemed like I was in the staging lanes the whole day. I did get the true street trophy for the Z community though . The track wasn't that good yesterday but I made my best pass in the final round . Went 10.64@140.3 mph for the win.

 

Thats all you really need honestly, maybe the eccentric lockout so you can lock everything into place.

thanks man! damn automatic titan .... so close .017 away from taking home the bracket for the 350z guys. congrats to never enough on winning his bracket! i believe i talked to a few of yall that i didnt know but idk. traction got way better after eliminations started. i actually hooked i had to let off 1/2 through 3rd then hit the limiter 6 times to keep from breaking out of class im pretty sure had i just rode it out all the way i wouldve ran a 13.3 maybe 13.2. me and the beetle were neck and neck for the most part and he let off 3 times so i let off. he wound up running a 12.9. wouldve been a perfect run for me had i not been concerned with winning.

as far as a good street tire with grip no one ive met agrees with me on this but id have to the stock ones are amazing. stay away from falken azenis 615's i had those eagle gts stock potenzas and khumo esctas spts on my mazdaspeed 3 and the best grip i got were out of the eagle GTs i would stick to the stock tire though... but thats just me.

 

i told a guy i work with about that titan and he said he knows alot about that titan.. he said that he runs it in bracket all the time! supposedly his dad runs top fuel...
