Z_int. . .i've heard 50/50 stories about LKQ being either good or bad but that is the place Ray Brandt Nissan goes through and that's where the car is at right now. . .i can't seem to get my eyes off of GTM's long blocks though, i wonder if insurance would consider it. . .

I talked with Nissan and Insurance today. . .motor is definitely deceased and insurance wants to put a motor with 19,xxx miles in my car. . .they are gonna pay $2900 for the motor and pay a total of $36-39xx with labor. . .I didn't see any engines for the HR on import parts pro's website and GTM's motors are twice as much as insurance wants to pay so i may just do what progressive wants and see if they will give me my motor back. . .if so i'll see if the heads and block can be salvaged to build a low comp. stroker. . .what to do. . .

Also i'm able to select BT Audio once my iphone 4 syncs but im not able to get pandora to stream the music to it. i only tried once and i havn't really read the directions so im sure it's a simple fix. besides the plain background, i'd say this HU has to be one of the best on the market right now. im not a professional and it only took me about 4 hours to hook up as well...

now if only i was so lucky with my rear hub i dont know if it was me drifting over a curb last year or my riding so low but my driver side hub is shot, just hit 7,000 miles. i jacked up my car today and my wheel moves about 1/4 inch.... hopefully the new one will be in and i can change it this weekend....

Hey guys, those of you considering GTM (not trying to be throwing dirt on them as they have some nice products) but two of my motor builders have both received motors they have done and they be a complete mess. Clearances not what they should be and not well machined. Not trying to take their business away but just wanted to give you guys a fair warning. Let me know if you guys need any help though.

Build it yourself, then you know for sure it was done right! It takes a good bit of extra time... some tools... patience... etc. I've seen it done in kitchens, no shop required, installed in dirt lots... but for the cost of having a shop do it you can buy the tools and DIY with confidence.

Most reputable shops want $1500-$2000 to install that motor, especially in the Z, I would try to fight them for more labor, based on what Nissan would charge, and you might have more to play with.
