Vanity Plates in IL
Im thinking of putting vanity plates on my Z... im not really sure what i want them to say yet, but i was wondering if there was like a website or something like that, where i can check if the plates i want have already been taken or not? Does anyone know where i should go to get some info in illinois?

no. The only thing you can do is submit your 3 choices and then they will either pick one which hasn't been used or return your form so you can pick 3 more.

Virgina Dept of Trans has a cool "design your plate" function on their web site, 'course that won't help you much in Ill. 
But I would the Ill site, VA just added it about a year ago. Most of these were available in VA:
KRA Z
NOWUZME
BORN Z (taken BOURNE Z available)
ZUL8TR (taken)

At the Chicago Auto Show, I picked up a copy of "Illinois License Plate Guide" with a foot note on page 3: 33M - PRt3259006 - 7/02
There is a phone #(800) 252-8980 It MIGHT be at local Service Facilities.
Seems to show ALL the options. Hope this helps.
