Default Warning About Chicago Park District Police

Hi guys, I was caught with no front plates at a golf course and this rent-a-cop stopped me in the parking lot. Now I know I am supposed to have plates and I deserve the ticket, however do they have the right to keep my license and make me go to court? Does this go on my driving record? Now I have to take a day off of work to goto court. Thanks to the idiot that gave me the ticket, I guess its nice when you dont have a 5 figure student loan to pay off as well as rent and other bills.

I would like to warn you guys to not go to any chicago public golf courses on the north west side, where the rent-a-cops would rather give you a ticket then protect your car while you are out. I am serious too, I go to golf there for the first time this year an di end up having to goto court.

Now I have no drivers license for over a month and I am pretty furious, if this goes on my driving record I will be even more angry and might do something about it. Just a warning to you guys. Take it easy everyone and watch out for the wannbe cops.

If you have a membership in an auto club (e.g. AAA, Allstate Motor Club), you can post the card as bond and keep your license. You get the auto club card back once you pay for the ticket.

Now, if you get another ticket before you pay for the first, then you give up your license! Or join another auto club!!

I don't know if this is going to work, but its worth a shot.....Strap your front liscense plate to the front of your car with some type of wire, and take a picture of it mounted. Then take that picture and show it at the Chicago Police Dept that you have mounted it, and they might drop the charges. And tell them you are in the process of getting a front liscense plate holder cuz you just got the car. But this time if you don't want the ugly liscense plate your your front bumper just place it inside on the lower right hand side of your windshield, I have my liscense plate there, for more than a year now, and so far i havent had any problems yet...knock on wood.

Default Not even a Chicago Cop

This guy wasnt even a Chicago Cop, he was some fake wannabe park district security guy (doesn't even deserve to be called a officer) looking to make his monthly quota. No matter what I am going to put the license plate up. I am going to try so hard not to yell at this guy in court but we'll see. The guy couldnt even spell my name correctly with my license in front of him.****** Beware guys these guys have nothing better to do*******.

Don't know what else i should do. Any suggestions? Thanx guys!
