Default Body shop in Iowa/Illinois/Missouri area?

Theres a really awesome repair place in Cedar Rapids, but when I asked if they would put on an aftermarket bumper/fender, they refused. That was in January. Now Im close to actually getting my kit and was wondering if there is one in the se area of iowa or any in the surrounding region. Help me out here guys. Gonna put on an Ings +1 N-Spec. I guess I wouldnt mind driving a ways if I had to, but any close by that you know of would be appreciated.

Thanks for the info guys. Maybe I can get the Z in the shop before I come home. It would be like coming home to a completely new Z. (Not like I had much chance to fully appreciate the Z yet anyway, but... )

Can anyone give me an idea of how long it usually takes for Eddy to get a kit put on a Z, with paint? My wife doesnt want to drive into illinois by herself. She doesnt have anyone to drive her back. So most likely I will have to get it done while im home in july. I dont want to be without the Z while Im home if its going to take a few weeks. So anyone know how long I can expect to be without it?

Not yet. I was hoping someone here might could recommend one in des moines to me. Des Moines would be perfect, because the wife has family out there. She could have one of her sisters drive her car to there, while shes in the Z. Drop it off, she rides home, everyones happy, I get my kit on. I'm going to research it, but im hoping to go with a place that someone has experience with and is liked.

I'm in Des Moines right now, I'll try to call some places tomorrow and see if they do and how much they charge and I'll get back to you. I'd love to meet up and see the car in person when you come back and get it done

Is this the authentic ings kit? If so, it probably won't take much prep work... I would say 3-5 days to get the kit installed and painted... but most likely, 3 days. Again, I dont know for sure.. this is just a guess. I'm sure if you call Eddie, we won't be able to say until he sees the kit. But he'll do the best he can, especially if you telll him where you are from... and if you mention ChicagoZ.com.

Thanks. If I was home, this wouldnt be a problem. I just found out that we are being dropped back from 16 days at home, to only 14. So thats even less time to spend with the family and driving my new car.

I'll be honest, Im not sure if Im going to go authentic or not. Theyre so stupid expensive. I want to do an N-spec front and rear and greddy sides.
Before I do that, Im ordering 18" Gram Light 57C's in bronze, hotchkis sways, koni's and Tanabe springs. All on a MB Z. With the drop, rims and kit, should look good. Im hoping anyway, it looks good in my minds eye.

keep in mind, if it's a cheap product, most likely the shop will have to spend much more time getting it right/prep work (which may end up costing as much as the original). If the replica is a good quality replica, then the shop shouldnt have any problems.

Thats a good question. When did SB change to MB? I checked the VIN and I did confirm I have a 04.5. I guess I should know this by now, but I remember the dealer did tell me it was MB.

Im kind of embarassed now. All this time spent on the board, and I dont even know that info. When I was home, I wasnt looking at the color codes, I was too busy driving. =)

Oki umm so make that a (possibly replica) Ings N-spec front and rear with greddy sides on a dropped 04 SB Enthusiast. =)

Synth, Im probably going to buy it from the sponsor here named x350Zx. I hear nothing but good things about his kits. The savings would allow me to either come home earlier, or maybe spend more on my go faster stuff. Tough call on that one.

So far:
Auto Body Supply Co.--------------No
Jack Anderson Auto Body shop----No
Conrad Body shop------------------No
McFarlin Body Shop----------------Number busy
Whitey's Body shop----------------No "don't get into them cause it can cost tons of money"

And a bunch of others that only do repair with insurance only...
Sorry man, can't seem to find anything. Maybe you can do the install yourself if you buy a quality replica...
