I think our Z's are about 13 years too new and built on the wrong continent seeing as it says "Pre 1990" and "All European cars are welcome!"

 

probably wasn't you as:

- the car I saw was on I-290 going eastbound (same direction as I was) around 2:30-3:00 PM. The car exited before we reached I-294.
- the car's plate started with 519
- there was a lot of traffic, much more than normal for this time of day on Sunday
- Z driver was weaving in and out of the lanes to pass everyone, and I was going around 70ish. The Z driver came up behind me a little after I-88 in left lane, then moved to middle, then moved to right. I changed lanes just to watch and didn't want to drive faster given the high winds. After the Z driver got an opening, punched it and moved into middle, then left lane. I'd guess the Z was going 75-80 at this point.

but yah, back to the matter at hand.......
wednesday (14th) through monday ( 19th) ...is clear skys and above 65 the whole way .

with that in mind.......whats goin on this weekend?
ill check next weeks forcat if thats more pheasable.

That might be cool. I've always wanted to buy an old BMW 2002Tii so maybe I'll find one down there.

Next weekend is Memorial Day, so maybe we should start planning a meet for the following weekend.

 

hello, fellow z owners. i've been reading and taking in all the 411 and keeping my words to a minimum. i was wondering when someone was gonna put a meet together!
how many meets so far? when's the next one? schaumburg might be a better place to meet, then lombard. kinda far for the folks who live in the city or by six flags.

i would really appreciate it if someone pm me about a future meet! thanks for all the great advice and personal experiences that's been posted. pictures of mods are the best!

 

guys, I'm gonna help organize a meet when I get my Z. Hopefully that's within a few weeks....until then, I'm not doing **** for you guys... I've been involved in some other meets with my CL..... sux when cops show up and kick us out! My friend organized a meet a few weeks ago (BMW/ACURA) in the Dave & Busters Parking Lot (Addison,IL) ....... the management was cool about the meet, and no problems with the cops.....I'll get in touch with my friend and ask him if it's cool to do a Z meet there. I think he's friends with the manager.......

Yep, thats prolly me. Did it have Missouri Plates? I drive to and fro Chicago all the time. Love it up there... STL isn't nearly as fun. Anyway, keep me informed of any Chicagoland Z meets. I am up there almost every weekend.

 

I think the meet in Schaumburg would be good, it's in the middle of everything. i have seen a lot of car meets over by the gameworks, corse there is also quite a lor of cops over there too. i think the best place would to be with an open parking lot, maybe like busse Woods or something like that on a nice day. i don't think the cops can kick you out if you are having a BBQ and there is a lot of common cars there.
