Yea sorry steve, I was planning on emailing those to you today.

Glad you got yours in. I'll probably just give the check to Howard when I get my tech inspection from him.

http://niodetroit.com/modules/newbb/...#forumpost1682

Saw this over on XceedSpeed. Only 30 open slots for the special reserved parking!

Our local Nissan/ Infiniti owners group (NIODetroit) has been given the approval to join the Nissan Tech Center 20th Anniversary Celebration on 8/24/08 (Sunday) 1pm to 5pm. There will be a dedicated parking lot for the first 30 Nissans or Infinitis to respond.

Ideally we would have a group from every type of Nissan vehicle (i.e.-Z, 240SX, Sentras, Titans, etc.) Please respond here
http://niodetroit.com/modules/newbb/...#forumpost1680 to let us know that you're coming so we can keep a count.

This will be on a First come, first served basis.

This will be part of the Nissan Technical Center 20th anniversary celebration, so there will be much more than a car show. Most of the Tech Center will be on display including the styling studio and test areas. There will be activities, speeches, dancing, and some suprises graciously put on by Nissan.

And yes, the GT-R will be there in the flesh that you will be able to touch and possibly sit in, if you behave yourselves. I hope that you can join us.

See you there.

My tech inspection is tomorrow for HPDE at Waterford. I'm going to pass on the auto-x... Can't justify spending an entire day for about 2minutes of track time. Good luck though!

Default good day at the track

Everything went well at the HPDE this past Thursday. Endlinks - good, Wheels - good. I think the only issue was traffic, because I was placed in the beginner group. No biggie - I was mainly concerned with driving the line.. and I got a lot of practice with that. Now, I just need to figure out how to run under 1:30. Maybe a timing device is in my future.

Hey Rob, Wash your car.

Again, awesome pics steve!! Jon you shoulda came out! I didn't see you at the autox either. It's ok cuz I got my a$$ handed to me by 2 other 350z owners who ran like 2 seconds faster than me lol.

Steve I also wanna know how the brakes felt. And jon what are you doing brake-wise? I'd be willing to help too cuz I'll have to do mine in the future

PS ~ Car is clean as of yesterday. Makes a HUGE difference, especially on a black car.

If anybody's interested on going from staggered to square setup, I posted a thread about it

Brakes were good. I'd recommend doing your pad/rotor break-in well in advance of any tracking. If you recall I did mine JUST before I went to the last open track day at Waterford. I think that track day completed the break in as I noticed stopping power increase throughout the day.

So, at THIS track event the brakes were terrific. Stopping power is a little better than stock. I still have lots of pad left. Fresh fluid is key too. I'm going to try out the new power bleeder soon. - No fade this time around.

Endlinks were great too. No issues since I tightened the jam-nuts.

It sure is nice to have everything resolved... at least for a short while.

My front Rota center caps did pop off during my post-trackday wash. I think the heat up front melted/warped them so they do not stay on anymore. lol.
